TV Star 2019 UK Winner Announced!
All Response Media’s competition for startups provides the winner with a fully funded TV ad campaign, igniting rapid business growth via the game-changing medium.
In January, over 150 of the UK’s hottest startups entered our 2019 TV Star competition for the chance to win a fully funded TV ad campaign to the tune of £50,000. The quality of entrant was the highest in the competition’s history, consisting of multiple Dragon’s Den contestants and a winner of The Apprentice. This made the decision to select a winner very difficult indeed in what is the fourth edition of TV Star, which saw the return of Startups.co.uk and Sky Media as competition partners.
After months of intense due diligence driven through two knock-out stages, our seven high-calibre finalists delivered their face-to-face pitches to a judging panel consisting of All Response Media co-founders, Andy Sloan and Colin Gillespie, and a host of esteemed industry leaders: Anthony Fletcher (CEO, Graze), Claire Odom (Managing Director UK & Ireland, The Proactiv Company) and Ted Unwin (Head of Sales, Sky Media).
After the impressive pitches concluded, many hours of judging deliberations followed, and we emerged with Freddie’s Flowers as our winner for 2019! Freddie’s Flowers was set up by Freddie Garland in 2014, and they deliver beautiful and carefully curated flowers to about 10,000 homes across the country each week. Freddie inspired us with his story of growing up around his parents’ florists in Pimlico, and the subsequent journey that led him and the business to this stage, and we’re excited that this competition can be the launch pad to take Freddie’s Flowers to the next stage of their growth and beyond!
As winners, they will receive significant investment in creative assets and a substantial airtime schedule optimised through our proprietary campaign response analytics suite, ARMalytics®.

The Competition
What happens after entering
Selected entrants will be invited to complete a detailed questionnaire on their business proposition and readiness for TV advertising and rapid growth.
These responses will be assessed in detail, from which the finalists will be selected and invited to partake in a Dragon’s Den style pitch in front of our esteemed judging panel, which consists of industry leaders and All Response Media directors.
